how buying + selling works
we buy kid's clothing on a walk-in basis, no appointment needed - bring items in anytime we're open. we’ll review your pieces in-store while you browse, or you can come back to pick up what isn’t selected by the end of the day. whatever is left behind will be donated, including the bag your pieces came in

what ages do you buy?
we buy clothing for children newborn through 12 years old

how do you decide what to buy?
items are selected based on season, condition, brand quality, demand, and current inventory. standout or special pieces from any season are always welcome

what condition should items be in?
items must be clean, gently worn, and ready to sell — free of stains, holes, odors, pilling, or pet hair. if you’d gift it to a friend, it’s probably a good fit for us

what do you not buy?
we don’t buy maternity clothes, baby gear/equipment, toys, and shoes

do you take kid’s books? 
we happily accept kid’s book donations. while we aren’t able to offer store credit or cash for books, your donation helps keep stories circulating and little readers inspired

how much will I be paid?
choose between:
- 50% store credit (never expires, cannot be converted to cash at a later date)
- 25% cash, paid same day via venmo or zelle

how do you price items?
we price each piece based on brand, quality, and condition while doing our best to keep things thoughtful and fair

do you buy items year-round?
yes — we buy year-round, though selection depends on season and current needs

what brands do you accept?
we accept a wide range of brands, with a focus on quality, durability, and timeless design. some fast-fashion brands may not be accepted if they don’t hold resale value

do you accept returns?
all in-store and online sales are final. all items are sold as is.

all of our pre-loved pieces are thoughtfully selected for quality, comfort, and longevity and are in good wearable condition though some may show small signs of a life well-loved. this could be a faint paint mark, gentle fading from washes, or other small imperfections that tell a story. we believe these traces of life are part of what makes each piece special, and that keeping clothing in circulation is part of building a more thoughtful, less wasteful future. 

can I get a price quote ahead of time?
pricing is determined in-store only. we don’t provide quotes over email or phone

what happens to items you don’t select?
items not chosen for resale can be picked up the same day by the seller, or left with us for donation or responsible reuse. items not picked up by the end of the day will be donated, including the bag they came in. we reserve the right to decline items that don’t meet our guidelines

where do donated clothes go?
our priority is local reuse. donated items are shared through:
- community donation
- upcycling and responsible textile recycling when items can’t be resold
- brooklyn-based organizations that facilitate distribution to families in need

do you accept donations?
yes. items not selected for resale may be left as donations, and we also welcome direct donations during store hours

is there a limit to how much i can bring?
we don’t have a strict item limit, but smaller, curated batches help us give your items the attention they deserve

what if I have a high quality item with some imperfections? should I still bring it in?
if you have particularly high-quality pieces that are imperfect due to small stains or holes, feel free to bring those in for consideration as we do some limited upcycling to keep great brands in circulation

do I need an id to sell?
yes. sellers must be 18 or older and provide a government-issued id

what if I can’t stay while you go through my items?
you’re free to leave while we process your order. all items not accepted must be picked up by the end of the same business day
