Donations

clothing items not selected for resale can always be left with us for donation. our goal is to help keep pieces in circulation, within our communities, and ultimately out of landfills. this looks like: 

 

know a family who could use some clothing? we pack thoughtful donation bundles. reach out at hi@cosmobrooklyn.com.

keeping donations in the neighborhood: we partner with still good, a Bed-Stuy based nonprofit, to host regular free shop days and help redistribute donations directly to our neighbors 

community redistribution: we partner with Little Essentials and other local nonprofits who help get clothing to families in need. 

upcycling & recycling: we believe well-loved pieces can still have long lives ahead of them. we partner with local menders to repair damaged items and dye stained pieces with natural indigo. we are always exploring creative ways to keep clothing in use longer.

 

while many donated clothes globally do get reused, large scale resale systems can also create excess waste. our aim is to go further by prioritizing local solutions and supporting a more circular, thoughtful approach to children’s fashion. 

we also happily accept children’s book donations, with a maximum of 15 books per donation. while we aren’t able to offer cash or store credit for books at this time, your donation helps keep little readers inspired.
